This is a new steel plant, and the plant layout has been ready, workshop shed construction is proceeding at the same time with overhead travelling crane/ EOT Cranes purchasing, and the cranes technical specifications finally is confined to workshop shed design. There are totally 5 sets eot cranes needed, 2 sets 30/10t ladle cranes, 1 set 12t billet handling crane, 1 set 12/5t scrap charging magnet crane and 1 set 12t grab crane.

Before contract signing, the Pakistan client visited DQCRANS’ factory, which is located in Henan, the “cradle of Cranes”, taking up 240,000 square meters and has 3600 employees including 500 technicians and over 70 senior engineers working and living there.

With the company of Mr. Wang, the chairman of Dongqi Group, the Pakistan client visited every parts and seen the eot crane production facilities of DQCRANES’ factory. DQCRANES owns “all kinds of manufacturing and detection devices up to 2000 sets. The corporation by right of the capital deploys advanced facilities of the domestic and international brand, such as four guns air protection portal shaped weld, impeller blasting descaling machine, digital control plaint drill, hoist spray paint line, sing-girder spray-paint line, multi-functional digital control lathe, automatic sawing machine, digital bend machine, numerical display lathe and bi-directional boring and milling machine, main girder no juncture automatic forming production linehoise reducer assembly wire to make the stable basement for manufacturing high quality products.”

In order to give the Pakistan client a more vivid presentation about how our EOT cranes work in steel plant, they went to a famous steel plant at local place, one client served by DQCRANES’ electrical overhead travelling cranes. After visiting the steel plant, the purchasing contract is confirmed after the discussion on contract terms, discount and payment terms in the meeting room. Finally they reach the agreement on that DQCRANES will provide 2 complete sets of ladle overhead travelling cranes, and the other 3 sets eot cranes main girders will be fabricated by client, while DQCRANES will provide the fabrication design and drawings, at the same time, DQCRANES agreed to send engineers to do installation and commissioning work for free for 20 days.

Problems and solutions during installation and commissioning:

Because the overhead travelling crane spare parts are also delivered by bulk ship, some of our eot crane spare parts missed during sea shipping and custom clearance. Because of the incompleteness after receiving the eot cranes in client’s factory, the first time installation was not successfully. No matter who should be responsible for the missing parts, considering client’s project is under construction. DQCRANES made the decision to deliver the missing eot crane parts soon, and promise to send engineers to complete the installation of eot crane until these cranes is successfully tested and go to full operation.
